Consulting Civil Design Engineer

Description of Work

  • Present himself professionally with confident in front of Client and can able to talk technical & practical knowledge.
  • Mentality aware on business opportunity which is related to his concerned department.
  • Support Tendering Department for the preparation of technical requirement and provide commercial costing during bidding stage.
  • Giveexpert advice on the design, planning and management of civil construction projects, covering all types of residential and commercial construction, particularly in the area of large, public infrastructure projects. These guys are the driving force behind the construction of roads, highways, bridges and public facilities.
  • He will be making expert assessments of selected sites for construction, evaluating the structural, environmental and commercial feasibility of future projects. Following this assessment process, he is responsible for creating detailed drawings, plans and schedules and estimating the cost of the construction and engineering work required.
  • In-charge of making sure that all the construction activities meet quality standards and comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for resolving any issues and problems arising onsite, offering expert advice, closing out any possible gaps and addressing any unforeseen risks.
  • Manage well his team and assured that every project’s they engage with, should have weekly report to present in Management Dept. In the weekly report should indicate the following:
    • status of projects
    • technical requirement needs by Clients
    • issues and solution approaches

Working Hours

Work is mainly comprised of office-based design work, client meetings and interactions with professionals from other disciplines, as well as site-based work from time to time during construction periods and the finishing stages of projects.

Extra hours during weekends and national holidays may occasionally be required to make sure that construction projects meet their deadlines.

Work might involve Travel overseas is possible for Business meeting and attending seminars.

Design Engineer

  • Design engineers perform research and come up with new ideas for products and the systems used to create them.
  • The role also includes analysing existing products with a view to improving their efficiency and overall performance.
  • Your job is to create drafts and designs of products. You will coordinate with a variety of departments within your organisation including sales, research and development, production and marketing.
  • You will be expected to take various things into consideration when working on a project including cost, safety and legal regulations, maintenance and the environment.
  • Here is a brief overview of the tasks you may perform:
  • Research, design and create new products.
  • Determine the target audience of the product and the different ways in which it may be used.
  • Develop virtual models of different designs using computer software.
  • Find out the manufacturing requirements by examining materials and production costs.
  • Present designs and perform demonstrations of product prototypes for the approval of clients.
  • Evaluate the function, safety and appearance of products to ensure they have a practical design.
  • When you are not dreaming up new ideas for useful products, you will be meeting other departments or clients. In other words, you will never be bored at work!

Electrical Design Engineer

Description of Work

  • Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
  • Confirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties.
  • Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
  • Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components; soliciting observations from operators.
  • Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.
  • Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with the regulations.
  • Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting repair service.
  • Maintains product data base by writing computer programs; entering data.
  • Completes projects by training and guiding technicians.

Description of Work

Electrical Engineering Consultant Responsibilities

  • The electrical engineering consultant is the one who takes care of the area of control and systems and leads the company plants. This has to be done efficiently by him.
  • He is responsible for being technically involved with all projects in Electrical Dept.
  • Knowledgeable technical & practical for Transmission, Distribution and Substation work related in operation controllers.
  • He works as a coordinator and administrator for the electrical and civil workers.
  • He organizes the fields and is expected to use his electrical engineering consultant knowledge and skills in the execution of his plans.
  • Managing and handling other sectors of electrical engineering department, developing strategies for completing other tough and challenging projects.
  • Present himself professionally with confident in front of Client and can able to talk technical & practical knowledge.

Qualifications and Skills

  • The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or in a closely related field.
  • Having a master's degree in the same would make him highly desirable for the position.
  • He should have a minimum experience of 5 -10 years in the Consultancy Engineering Firm with knowledge of Transmission, Distribution and Substation.
  • Apart from these, he should have good oral and written english communication skills.
  • Knowledge of computers, electrical engineering equipments, and their safety procedures is a must.
  • He should have a sound body and mind and should be able to work in a team.
  • He should be optimistic and motivated.
  • He should have the ability to analyze technical problems and solve them without experiencing any stress.
  • He should also have a minimum experience of 5 years in industrial power distribution. Having good interpersonal skills would be considered an asset.
  • Having a strong interest in electrical engineering is required.
  • He should be able to work independently and should be comfortable managing multiple jobs and duties.
  • He should be a jovial and cheerful person who should be ready to work under difficult circumstances.
  • He must be ready to travel a lot.

Work Conditions

He works about 9 hours daily, sometimes 6 days a week.
